CRSC currently runs three different classes that target different abilities and levels of skaters. Before undertaking any CRSC artistic skating classes it's important that you have taken your First Steps towards your artistic skating journey. Check out that page first.
8am - 9am
This class is run by Caribbean Rollerama, rather than CRSC. However is fully staffed by CRSC coaches. Saturday mornings are where you will take your first steps as an artistic skater. The Saturday morning class focuses on the fundamentals of artistic skating across all disciplines. (figures, freestyle and dance).
Cost: $17 ($16 if you purchase online and use the "save$1" discount code)
3pm - 5pm
This is a relatively new class for CRSC and is the next step after the Saturday morning Artistic Development Class. The class runs out of the Knox Regional Netball Centre and gives skaters exposure to skating on a timber surface. This class continues to build on the fundamentals of the Dance and Freestyle skating disciplines. This is a unique opportunity for budding artistic skaters as the class usually runs for 60 minutes allowing an additional 60 minutes of private training. This will usually be an artistic skater's first opportunity to learn to share a training floor with other skaters of similar abilities.
Cost $30
5:30pm - 8pm
Monday nights are our most advanced class. Skaters are asked to arrive at 5:30pm to commence an 'off-skate' warm-up. Class then runs from 6pm - 6:40pm. This class is designed to challenge and teach skaters on the finer points of artistic skating. There is a further off-skate session that runs from 7:30 - 8pm, which can focus on anything from strength and conditioning to choreography to off-skate jump and spin training. Between 6:40pm - 7:30pm the floor is utilised for private training (see below).
Cost $20
Sunday and Monday classes are run by CRSC so club and ASVI membership are required. Refer to our membership page for more details.
CRSC has access to private training time at Caribbean Rollerama. Training sessions are not for the faint-hearted and generally only become available once a skater commences private coaching and competitive skating. Training sessions allow skaters to practice their own routines and work on skills at their own pace, without direct supervision. Skaters also use this time to undertake private lessons. Safety is the priority during these sessions as International level skaters train alongside those who have just started competitive skating. They have to work together to share the space and keep each other safe. Our coaches will let you know when the time is right to make the jump to private training.
The following training times are currently available to CRSC practice pass members:
Monday 6:40pm - 7:30pm
Tuesday 4pm - 7pm
Wednesday 9:30pm - 11pm (Advanced/Adult skaters only)
Friday 6pm - 7:30pm
Saturday 6pm - 7:30pm
